...Yet You're In My Thoughts (old, unfinished 420/Chuckles roleplay)

I don't want to
But I want to
Cause I just can't get him out of my mind
And yeah
My best friend's brother is the one for me

(Written desc will come eventually, have some notes for now)

- Primary school teacher, teaches fourth grade.
- Shy, quiet. Tends to ramble when he's nervous. Kind of jumpy.
- For some reason, he's always cold, no matter what. So he always wears thick, warm clothes, even in summer.
- Closeted gay, completely in denial of his sexuality and trying to convince himself otherwise.
- Older brothers are Titters and Chortle. He gets along pretty well with Titters, but Chortle frequently annoys him.. they're pretty much entirely opposites, and Chortle teases Chuckles a lot. (Chuckles doesn't hate him, though. Chortle just irritates him.) oh, and Keti is his sister-in-law, of course. They've never really had any significant interaction (this comic should give you an idea of how he feels about her... mostly he's like "wtf how is it that Chortle's married?? I mean I know it's cause he got her pregnant but still! He's a total jerk and he hits on other girls and his wife just... lets him??? What????"). uhhh.. oh yeah, Risita's his niece, too. They've met, probably not very often though.
- Best friend is Giggles; she's basically the little sister he never had. They met in high school; Giggles' grades were pretty atrocious and they weren't showing any signs of improving, and eventually one of her teachers took her to one side and told her that if she didn't get her act together, she'd get expelled. (for the record, they were actually bluffing to try and 'scare her straight'; it worked, obviously) He suggested that she get a tutor, and suggested she ask Chuckles since he'd heard that he was an excellent student. (note to self: old comic I drew about this) She tracked him down and basically latched onto him right away, and they've been friends ever since. Prior to this, Chuckles didn't know what he wanted to do in life; he decided to become a teacher after realizing how much he enjoyed tutoring Giggles.
- When he was younger (like... 11-12ish), his parents found out that he was gay and dealt with it by sending him to a straight camp. (His parents are pretty religious... they had good intentions.) He doesn't actually have a problem with this/see it as anything bad or w/e. (the camp itself, I mean. He's got a pretty big problem with the fact that he 'had' to go there in the first place, obviously.. the whole 'in denial' thing...) In his mind, he "used" to be gay. If you actually managed to get him talking about it, that's what he'd say. It's a huge regret of his.
- Went on a date with Cami once, in high school. Giggles set it up; Chuckles went along with it mostly because... well, Giggles is one of those people that, when she gets an idea in her head, she moves very quickly and is super enthusiastic about it. And Chuckles couldn't think of a nice/polite way to say he wasn't into the idea; he didn't want it to come off as if he disliked Cami or anything, and also he didn't want to seem unenthusiastic about going out with a girl. If that makes sense. Maybe there was a part of him that wanted it to work out, too - not that he has any particular feelings about Cami (he'd met her before this, they were in the same school year, but they didn't really *know* each other), but he desperately wanted to be straight, for things to be "normal" (hell, he still wants this). Anyway, the date was awkward as hell and things have been awkward between him and Cami ever since. Chuckles is completely over it (maybe there's some lingering awkwardness, but not much); since he hasn't really seen Cami all that much since then anyway (their paths naturally don't cross often), he doesn't realize she's kind of avoiding him.
- Grew up in Telluria, moved to Felicitas City after high school. (? I need to decide if Telluria has a college or not. Either he moved to Felicitas for college and ended up staying there, or he moved to Felicitas after college. One or the other. I do know he works in Felicitas partly cause it was easier for him to get a job there, and partly cause he felt sort of weird about the idea of teaching at his old school.)
- he's on a bit of a sliding timeline atm, while I sort out all the little details and stuff... this next part hasn't happened yet, but it's gonna happen eventually so I'm putting it here anyway :U anyway, in the future, he starts dating 420 (he always calls him "Finn", cause Chuckles is too genteel to use a nickname that's technically a drug reference :p). He'd always known Giggles had an older brother, and he'd been in the same room as him before, but they'd never talked or anything (if they did, 420 wasn't sober/lucid enough to remember it. the most they'd have said to each other is "hi" "uh, hi"). They ran into each other by chance; Chuckles just happened to be on the phone to Giggles, at the exact moment that 420 walked past him, having come to Felicitas City to look for his sisters. (Isn't plot convenience a wonderful thing? :p) idk exactly what happens past that point, cause it still needs to be written but anyway, eventually they start dating, like I said. Takes a long time for things to get to that point, since Chuckles is so heavily closeted/in denial/etc (plus 420 has issues of his own), but they get there eventually.

Ask me why
I'll say it's most unusual
How can I
Even try to explain

Why today, I feel like dancing
Singing like lovers sing
When I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing
I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing

Ask me when
I'll say it started when I met you
And ever since then
I knew that the past couldn't last

For right now, I think I'm running
A race I know I'm gonna win
And I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing
I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing

If people say I'm crazy, I tell them that it's true
Let them watch with amazement
Say it won't last beyond breakfast, it's a phase he's going through
Denigrate or speculate on what I'm going through
Because it isn't the sort of thing I'd normally do

Ask me what
I'll say I think it's good for you
Believe it or not
I know where it's all leading to

I feel like taking all my clothes off
Dancing to the Rite of Spring
And I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing
I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing
I wouldn't normally do this kind of
This kind of thing
