Old roleplay between me and Chuckles' original creator, Rita. This was written in 2014 (well, technically the first post was written in 2013, but yeah), so some stuff may be outdated/no longer canon (in particular, ignore any references to their species). Consider it canon unless their profiles (or another story, etc) say otherwise.
Text in purple was written by me (Carrehz). (I wrote all of Giggles' dialogue, too)
Text in red was written by Rita.
...Yet You're In My Thoughts
420 wandered around the marketplace, unsure what to do. This morning, he had finally decided to go looking for his sisters, but now that he was actually here, in Acitius City itself.. This was a really, really stupid idea. The chances of me even finding them are practically nonexistant, geez. But.. The Drakkles considered it, then approached a nearby Junivi. "Um, excuse me.. have you seen-" No, this is stupid. "-er.. never mind." He quickly walked away from the confused Junivi, inwardly beating himself up for even considering such a foolish idea in the first place.
"Chuckles, I can't find my favorite pair of shoes!" A red and pale green Drakkles holding a shopping bag flinched away from his cell phone, surprised after just answering it. "Nothing else goes with this skirt!"
After calming down, Chuckles was just confused. He could hear the panic and distress in her voice, but if he didn't know Giggles so well he wouldn't have understood her at all. "Well, calm down first. Did you look in your closet? Maybe it's under another pair?" He asked, making a mental note to get her a shoe rack for her birthday.
"I already looked in the... oh! Found them! They'd fallen under the bed~" Chuckles sighed inwardly, and continued walking, going past another Drakkles, dark blue in colour. "Well, I'm glad you found them, Giggles." He said, smiling. "Thanks for helping me~ What're you doing anyways, are you doing anything later? I'm going out with Allie in a sec, but maybe we could do something together later?" Giggles sounded excited as usual for her. "Well, I'm not sure how long I'll be, I'm out shopping for something right now... Maybe call me back when you're finished your date?"
Why did I even come here? I'll probably just fail, agai-
"Well, I'm glad you found them, Giggles."
The dark blue Drakkles lost his train of thought as he overheard someone talking nearby. Wait, did they just say Giggles?! His eyes widened, and he looked around somewhat frantically, until he spotted another Drakkles nearby. He.. looks kinda familiar..
Without really thinking, 420 rushed after the other, red-furred Drakkles. If it is him.. with my luck it probably isn't, but if it is.. "W-wait!" he called after him, scared of losing him (and thus all hope of ever finding at least one of his sisters, or so it seemed) in the crowds.
Chuckles stopped and turned, curious who was shouting. He couldn't quite see whoever it was in the crowd, and kept looking around for the source.
"Okay~! I'll talk to you later then, bye~!"
"Oh, uh, Bye Giggles." The red Drakkles said, hanging up his phone and putting it back, still looking for whoever was calling. It probably wasn't for him, but maybe it was one of his students' parents that recognized him.
420 continued weaving his way through the crowds, pushing past some people, terrified of losing sight of the other Drakkles. "Wait, plea- oh!" He tripped on the uneven road, and his arms flew out, catching hold of someone's sleeve. He pulled away quickly, straightening up. "Sorr-" He cut off, realizing he'd run into the red-furred Drakkles. For a second, 420 just stood there, shocked that he'd actually caught up to him, before coming to his senses. "I.. I think I.. This probably sounds crazy but do you know a girl called Giggles? She's a Drakkles, and she's got long purple hair and.." 420 stopped, suddenly unsure. Did she have red eyes? Or was it Kaboom that had red eyes? I should know this.. "I.. I mean, you look kind of familiar and I thought I heard you say her name.." he continued awkwardly.
All of a sudden, a dark blue Drakkles burst out from the crowd, tripping into Chuckles. He stumbled backward a bit when the other Drakkles ran into him, somehow managing not to fall over. "Are you okay?" Chuckles instinctively asked, as the other Drakkles just stared at him, and then started spouting out something about Giggles. "Um, yeah. I did." Chuckles began awkwardly. "Do you mean Giggles Curran? She's who I was talking too, and she's got purple hair." He almost wished it was one of his students' parents, at least then he would've known what to say. This Drakkles didn't seem to be the type to look after kids.
420 didn't even hear the other Drakkles asking him if he was okay, he was so surprised. "Yes, that's her! She's my.. I mean, of course, you probably don't recognize me.." he said, laughing nervously. "I'm 420, I'm her older brother. T-that's not my real name of course, but, y'know.." he trailed off. "Do you know where she lives? I've been looking for her for so long!"
Chuckles was more than a little surprised at 420's nickname, instantly making the connection to a possible meaning. Part of him was skeptical if this somewhat scruffy looking Drakkles was Giggles' brother, he didn't look like he could be related to always cheerful, primped Giggles. But he also seemed vaguely familiar, and did happen to share a few facial features with Giggles.
"Wait, hang on. I think I remember Giggles having a brother, but I've barely seen him. I'm not entirely sure if you are him." Chuckles said, trying to choose his words carefully. For all he knew, this Drakkles could be some sort of stalker. He didn't want to put Giggles in that sort of danger.
Thinking as he spoke, Chuckles pulled out his phone. "How about this. Let me take your picture and send it to Giggles. I'll ask if she knows you, and we'll see if you really are her brother. Are you okay with that?" He didn't want to bother her on her date, but it was just a text. Plus if it turned out he was a stalker, he'd be able to report him to the police more easily with a photo.
Idiot, idiot! Why didn't I think of this? I was never around, of course he's going to be suspicious of me! And if she doesn't recognize me..
420 shook his head, trying to clear his mind, aware of how odd he must look to the other Drakkles. After all, he had just appeared out of nowhere, and he was just standing and staring blankly as the red Drakkles talked to him. "Um.. y-yeah, go ahead," he said, looking at the other Drakkles as he continued to stand there, somewhat awkwardly; he wasn't really sure what to do, considering that he couldn't ever remember anyone taking a photo of him before.
